hey guys just wondering if a W T fuel tank will fit in to a late 96 coily

Anything can fit if you've got the motivation and the means.

I bolted a Coily tank straight into my WT, so one would assume it will work the other way.

Yep not a problem as far as fitting the tank... I don't know about the hose setup on coily tanks though, may(WILL) be different to NT/WT tanks.
