Tried SuziFour wreckers in Sydney? Worth asking the question and getting a freight quote.

Otherwise... good luck!

Multiple on line parts locators is how I found mine.
Delivery to Melbourne from Qld was only $80
Diff with axle housing was $385.
Suzifour had one a month ago, $450 + delivery.
I have a spare GV steel axle housing only, no diff housing, that was due to a misunderstanding/terminology difference.
(I suppose it could be useful one day, or sellable if someone has the diff housing minus axle housing.)
So make sure you are clear on what you are buying.
Some later GV and XL7's have a salisbury diff that will not work in a Vitara.
