Whack up a thread, I'm sure there will be plenty of people here who would appreciate an insight.

I'd always considered the drivetrain losses were key to part of my issues, and recently the transfer being not a 1:1 ratio was brought to my attention also, making me question whether I should dyno in 3rd not 4th.
Cam gears were done on the dyno.
100hp is nice. Soon to be a mere memory I hope as I've got a sc14 in the shed waiting to be turned in anger. I've done it before (bodgily) but it's my christmas project to sort it properly.

On the topic of the GTI/ G16 hybrid, I have a mate who has had endless dramas with this setup. Properly geared 1.3 carb sierras rutinely run rings around him. :?

ok thanks everyone for the feedback. crewsy are you certain ? i know it was built by suzisport however i would hate to get the head off and find out different ?

I was there about a week ago, had a long chat with the guys there and thats exactly what they told me. But don't go by my word.. give them a call and make sure your engine has had it done before you go ripping the head off!

You go putting an SC14 on, and you had better do a step by step write up, with pics, and hopefully dyno results, or else peaceout

There is a lot I want to do with my LWB, got some for her, funds are low at the mo, but a supercharger is very high on the list of must haves.

I am a tad unsure if the 14 isn't a bit big, the 12 might be better suited. I am keen to have a read of your build.

I spoke to Mart a bit about this back when he did it. I can post up his main response if you like. Basically he said the 14 was too big and he had to underdrive it substantially and add an air bypass (basically a plumbed blow off valve) to not blow the engine up (the second time). The maths supports all this. I'd be trying to track down a 12.

you got to remember theres more driveline losses in a 4x4 with gearbox and transfer and diff , and the big tyres , in a fwd theres less driveline losses.

100hp in a sierra is pretty respectable

From memory the engine in GTi hybrid in Danny's zook clicky was dyno'd at a bit over 100rwkw. That's a g15 block with GTi head, turbo'd with aftermarket ECU. That might give an indication of just how much the tyres and driveline take from the flywheel power figure.

im about to finally drag my sierra out the shed and i am tossing up either to put the 1600 sohc tbi engine i got here in it , or pull the 205hp engine out of the swift and put it in ! imagine pulling up at the lights in a sierra next to say a skyline or clubsport and smoking it !!!

You won't win that race !! you will get all excited at the traffic lights and then when the light turns green you will leave a trail of transfer gears and casing material through the intersection.................Not that i would know anything about that
