alloys are much easier to repair than steelies as any rim shop will tell you and generally they have a higher load rating.

Maybe you got a bad batch?? We sell heaps of procomp tyres and rims. In the past 3 months we've returned 1 set of tyres that were supposedly part of a bad batch.
The procomp alloys look awesome![/quote]
we used to sell heaps of them but now we sell dynamics the only people who buy procomp are jeep owners.

we used to sell them.
but weve found dynamics to be stronger in the harder terrain, may bot look as flash but better.
now we just sell them to jeeps mostly every 1 else asks for dynamic

tyres are on!
JUSSSST fit under my rubber flares - sidewalls stick outside of them. the BFG are whisper quiet on the road, and with my new width i can already feel that its more stable on cornering.

Tyres are good...Bit ifffy on the wheel style. Look oldschool..All you need is white walls and chrome hub caps
p.s. Welding is not that hard to make neat..

Should see me when I'm welding. The crappy gobbiness of the welds is matched only by the blueness of my language!
Looking good Aron Though I hate to say the Simex's did have the visual edge. Can see the extra width on the rear though!

haah the simexs certainly looked chunkier, no doubt there - but already after just 2 short trips driving the BFG on the road i'm very happy with them.
the rims definitely have that oldschool feel about them - thats what helped my decision to paint in black, as a brighter colour wouldnt have suited the car i dont think. They'd be too obviously from the 70s =P
Once the rims get a bit dirty to match the car they wont stand out so much either... lol thats why i took the pic yesterday on my way home, so i have at least one photo with NEW tyres and rims!

Yeah not feeling the love much for those rims. And fark me nearly $200 a rim...you can buy Alloy KMC Solid machined beadlocks from the States for not much more than than.
I know its not zook stud pattern but the potential is there.... http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/KMC-XD-B ... ccessories

i dont think theres a single alloy with zuk stud pattern in a 15x7 -38mm offset mate - thats why they cost more - theyre custom made. You cant compare them to an off the shelf product.
The only off the shelf product you can compare them to is the Procomp Series 52 steel rim, which is where i got the -38mm from, as i plan to get some in and run some winter tyres on them, however procomp arent meeting production deadlines so i have no idea when they will arrive.

that's easily fixed with a set of mag-caps.

bakerboy - tell me how much you can get a quote on a custom rim, sandblasted, primed and powdercoated... the thread is about custom made rims, so if you know a better way let us all know mate.
