Hi, I'm chasing a complete harness out of a 2.0ltr v6 vitara auto with ecu and as many sensors attached as possible. Would like no immobilisers built into the ecu thanks guys ;)

Are you missing part of your imobb??
What type of imobb & when you fitted the harness did you graft or put the whole thing in??

I used part of the harness from a 2004 grand vitara which motor and box came from. Problem being I didn't realize it had a built in immobiliser in the factory ecu. Somehow it worked for 6months without the key and immobilizer code box wired in but it did stop and wouldn't start. At this point I rewired the car and inserted the obd scan connector, code box ect and found the key had a corrupt file in it which was removed. Once this was done I succeeded to get it running perfectly again with no codes as well. This lasted for another six months and then everything went wheels up again. I work for suzuki so I used there scan tool and all I could get out of it was that the immobiliser key wasn't registering and so I replaced the remote battery to no avail. After this I think I may have accidently brought two wires together that shouldn't have and fried the ecu which I'm not all that sad about it but want to fit the engine with the 2ltr ecu as it has no immobilser built into the engine ecu. Hope this helps stekky... This is why I'm after a complete auto harness and ecu with as many sensors attached as possible unless someone has a better idea. I'm all open to ideas.

I thought the 2.0L ECU was meant to run the 2.0L motor? If they were interchangable, then suzuki would have used the same ECU for the 2.5 as the 2.0 wouldn't they?

My opinion is to just go aftermarket. Way more flexable.

Thanks stekkie, I'm on the hunt for the 98 and if that fails then it will have to be aftermarket which means you have to ask who makes a auto controller for the 02 gv auto box.

So anyone got a 98 2.5 auto harness and ecu???????

I'd never risk it. A slight fuelling error and you'll have a molten lump of shit instead of a motor

I think Polar_Bears mutant SV625 low rider is something like that, 2.5 long motor with the 2.0 brain & intake.
