I can't get 1st when the car warms up. Runs fine till warmed up. It is a 4spd auto, does anyone have any ideas what the problem could be?

Mines a 4sp Auto.
It won't get first unless I pull stick back.
It may be by design, because don't need first much on road?

Went to auto electrician, no faults were present, I am going to change the temp sensor see if that works.

There are 3 of them (94 LWB) 1 in the front and 2 in the side of the Thermostat housing.

One thing to watch out for on the front one ( Temp gague ) is make sure you get a long one about 45mm or it will not reach the water in the housing and gives a faulse reading, also the one in the side ( Lower) needs to be the same length.
Lift the thermostat out and check.

I replaced the coolant temp sensor, wasn't that, as there was no fault code showing I am thinking maybe the problem is a solenoid in the gearbox, anyone able to help or me or have idea of what the problem could be?

I dont think the solonoid would cause it to not select first when it was warm and be fine when cold(I am no expert). It sounds more like the fluid level or there is a block in the system. Was the filter changed when it was serviced.
