Hi again, now Im paying the price for dragging a project out for way too long. The components from my LJ80 rear brake drums are missing.

I thought they where in there but alas they are gone.

At this rate I may have to buy another doner LJ

It is quite possible that 1.0 litre Sierra bits could be the same.
Worth looking into.

I should have the original rear drums from my LJ81 when I did this:
(the rear diff part half way down, not the swivel bit obviously).

http://www.auszookers.com/index.php?nam ... ic&t=10969

Not sure what state they are in, but could check tomorrow. Alternately you could do what I did and fit 1.3 self adjusters. Or SJ410 rear drums should bolt straight up as a complete unit (though different to the Stockman drums).

As in axle shafts :? I have so many laying around I could start an axle farm!
if you want brake bits off them, I have some assorted bits in poor to average condition.

PM me if its what you want, I'm home evenings this week, but not Saturday due to work.

Whats going on Kymbo, 1 litre rear axles ?????? I could understand 1 litre fronts for CV's and stubs for a disc brake conversion, but rears have me confused.

Want to go the 1 litre rear drums for future availability of parts. The shields and stuff on the car arent much chop. Not actually using the axles, just need the entire drums.

One of the things I love best about the LJ is the central Banjo. It appeals to my sense of balance lol

Fail again. Would appear my rear axle is off the lj50 variety making it incompatable with the 1 litre drums. Ive been trying to contact 2 stroker but if anyone has a complete LJ80 rear axle I would be very interested.

The suzuki gods are working against me, please help

You want Stockman LJ80, with the grille like Highway star's, that's where most of the good driveline bits get robbed from.

I've had success hunting down parts using on line parts locators.
There's lots of them, but I've had luck with these sites.

Thanks Jock, what do you think about my dilema. Should I just find the LJ50 drum brake components and be done with it. I thing Highway Star said he might be able to dig them up. The front brakes have the disc conversion and there is a brake booster fitted.

There doesnt seem to be any holes in the shield at the back of the drums so I guess all the componants float around inside the drum. What parts are there? An adjuster, retaining springs, the brake cylinder and 2 shoes?

Yeah thats all there is in the early brakes. The stockmans were the first model to introduce pined shoes.

Any chance of you taking a look for me Aaron for the bits? I can get the wheel cylinders by the look of it.
