What is ment to be here!!! i dont think that the cable tie is ment to is this the auto choke?? its a 8v virtara engine just lately seems to drop idle to about 500rpm and i know i did not put a huge cam in it today i was driving and it seemed to be choking up and dying under load like there was no fuel or spark but turned off tapped the fuel pump and off she went again no probs so could be the pump but mainly worried about that cable tie thing as the little cog thing did not use to be showing as many teeth, any help would be great.

thats the flux capacitor

its the auto choke, sounds like its started to work

when the engine is warm check that both the water hoses going into it are hot, if so may as well try and make it work

look where the hoses go itno a round chamber, one one chamber is a litte bolt / screw thing, remove the zipti and with the enging cold adjsut it till the choke flap on top the engine is jsut closed, idle should be higher until the engine wamrs up then drop back to normal

if it doesnt drop you might need to adjsut the fast idle (read the manual) or if the flap never opens again once warm youll just have to adjsut the choke off, basically with engine cold turn the screw till the flap is open

migth take a few goes to get right but worth it is it all works

cheers will take a look tonight i am sure it had 2 cable ties on it but i can only see one now and its not happy

had a look and it looks like the spring has broke and thats why the cable tie has been put there to hold choke open.

the spring normally holds it closed

the screw I mentioned adjsuts the whole angle of the geared section to limit how far it can open for any given temp
