hello again.. sorry to flood this forum with stupid questions.. but i guess its here for a reason right.. just hope it dont turn out like outterlimits..

anyways... not sure what i should do for my transplant...
any inputs would be good..

the options are above on the poll..
please choose on and say why

ill be on a budget and trying to finde the best option

the reason i ask this is, if i go the
1.6vit i can use my box and transfer but will need to re wire the comp

if i go 1.3 GTI
ill need a new box and transfer and redo my engine mounts..

what would you do

1.6 EFI = good low torque

The GTi engine will produce power way too high in the rev range

ok,
now im tossin up to rebuild mine ir buy a whole vit set up..
OPTION A
the engine plus all parts to complete the conversion cost about 1650..
plus fitting, which will be around 600 (if everything goes well)
so thats a total of $2250ish

OPTION B
if i do a rebuild, it will cost about $2500ish drive in drive out... but then ill need to re do the exhaust and re tune the computer.. thats another $1000 on top
so $3500ish

i think OPTION A IS THE WAY..
that quote on the whole motor set up was from a berlino...
do you guys no much about this motor

bAleno details....
G13BB
The SOHC G13BB has electronic MPFI fuel injection, generating 56–59 kW (75–79 hp) at 6,000 rpm and 104–115 N·m (77–85 ft·lbf) at 4,500 rpm, and was used in Suzuki Baleno / Esteem from 1995 to 2000 and Suzuki Jimny, Suzuki Swift from 1998 to 2004. G13BB has 2 double coil packs directly bolted on the valve cover, although early models still had the coil packs mounted to the left side of the head, traditionally where the distributor was located.

Applications:

1995– Suzuki Baleno
1998–2004 Suzuki Jimny, Suzuki Swift
Ultralight aircraft

considered a Change Over engine? Rpm, etc. price varies depending whom you use, but they DO come with a warranty(check though) you have the knowledge its new and not thrashed, its better to not buy someone else's problems!

dont understand why you would need your exhaust and computer redone if the engine is staying the same as it is!? and $1000 bucks for these two items seems pretty pricey imho..

foolsp33d i think theres a stuff up isn't the baleno 1.6? cause power figures makea noa sensa. by the looks of things the 1.6 in the pole has won, so wouldn't in thery the power figues wanted be G16B(?) not G13BB, i'm not tryn ta shit on your research but kinda struck me as odd.

Did some searching foolsp33d you found the Baleno GL engine(1.3) the GLX(1.6) is what was being looked at(i think?)

you could find a whole baleno for under $1000 with everything you need on it. then strip the baleno make some money back on other parts and then you'll find your motor, loom, ecu will only have cost you approx $500.

look in the trading post and ebay for an unregistered baleno. yo ucan the ncheck what condition the car and motor is in before you buy it. you will get alot better idea of a cars motor by seeing the whole car.

if you want to run auto down the track stick with vit stuff, baleno efi won't integrate with vit auto's.did a gti conversion once.....what a waste of time compared to a 1.6...had a lot of customers change from gti to vit 1.6.
