Hey, I just fitted 2'' EFS springs and 2'' TSOR shackles to my sj70, it currently has what i believe to be standard height OME shocks... WHICH SUCK. It feels like a bouncy ball. What i would like some opinions on is a good set of shocks for the following setup. Im running the above mentioned, GTI motor, 31''s and an ally ecb roo bar. any advice would be great, was thinking of getting the rancho 9000's but cant swallow the price.
Cheers
Jonny

You can get the Rancho 5000 in a 4" shock for $130 each.
Do you really need adjustable?

dad loves his rancho's but i guess his is a jeep.

would the ranchos be made different for each model Ie: zook rancho's different compresion than a jeeps?
if not then id get something else coz they wont change much

First of all you need to measure the compressed and extended length required of the shocks then go out and start looking. Simpley asking for a 4" shock anywhere aint gonna give you any help what so ever.

I used to have non ajustable Rancho's on my SPOA Sierra, I might as well had blocks of wood under there. It would throw you around, i had to go in !st on most dirt tracks and my missus would come for a drive coz it threw here boobs around too much :(

Ive had my Doetsch 3000 Shocks on all for corners and I reckon they are great!
Most of the forums that dont like them say that they are too soft. Then when you read down you find that they have them on big heavy Jeeps and F series trucks. I think they are perfect for light sierra's.

I measured the flex of my zook with no shocks in and just ordered the right length to suit. The only thing i had to add on was a little spacer on the mount coz the rubbers were squashed a little too much.
