a mate has bad problems with his 37's on his patrol. and i get it on my zuk ute. someone told us that people put golf balls inside there tyres to balance them up. has anyone done it? or know how it all works? how many golf balls to put in to try it?

I think someones blowing smoke up your arse.

but you can put balancing weights (balls) in them. they'd be a hell of a lot smaller then golf balls though.

yeah get the proper thing, pretty sure theyre polyurethane or something slightly 'soft'.

his 37s are on external beadlocks so easy enough to put them in.

In the states the guys with problems balancing use dyna-beads, and airsoft pellets. One guy uses anti-freeze and it worked well. They are really light..like 14Oz a tire.

It works, lots of good reading, I guess the centrifugal force does it's magic in there.

Take the tyre off the rim, put the golf balls in the tyre, refit to rim?

Even just getting them off the bead you should be able to squeeze them in.

Never heard of it being done before. Have you tried just regular balancing?

Don't use "Tiger Woods" brand golf balls as the tyres will go down on you

What happens when you have them balanced professionally?

Well, in general it's spun up on a machine and "hammer on" weights are attached to either side of the steel rim to balance it.
