Hey im just about to ring up for some rims and need a quick Answer, Ive read the post under nithe mine but its not what im looking for

What off set do i need ??

Im getting 15x7 sunnys and ive got (or doing soon) a SPOA conversion and ill be running 31" 10.5 wide

so whats the best offset for the sierra with a SPOA ??

I'm running -28 on mine, but that is on 33s.

Fatz is right, if you want to run 31s just chuck in a just_cruzin body lift kit and your away.

Hang on, whats size tyres should i go with a SPOA conversion then ???

Ive already got the Coversion kit from low range so i just thought 31s was the way to go for sierras ??

Now im confused ??

Dude not meaning to knock you but seriously with questions like that how much research have you put into this venture? What are you trying to achieve? Just height or practicality? It is a know fact that yanks what there vehicles closest to the ionosphere as possible! Putting 31's on a sierra is one of the most common mods around. Just a 2inch bodylift and some extended bumps will allow you to clear 31's. What kit did you get and also how does it address the steering issues from SPOA?

Did you do any research on SPOA at all? Or did you just read that it gives you lift then buy a kit?

SPOA is usually run by those wanting 33-35" tyres. But there are heaps of other mods that need to be done to make this a reliable setup. Such as chromo CV's and axles at the very least.

Hilux diffs are a common upgrade for SPOA rigs also.

As for the offset question...... You will get a minimum of 4" lift from the SPOA. I would want to be going ATLEAST 4"-6" wider to help offset the extra height.

packaging qould be hard on the front. But if you flip it upside down and run it as a bottom link it will work.

with the 50 motor being so small and no sump, there shouldnt be any issues with space to run it normally

No BL required for 31's with big enough bump stops and abit of hammering...

Sorry if im doing something wrong, but ive read you need 4" of lift to clear 31s with no rubbing and the SPOA is gona give me 4" and better flex

And no im not trying to reach the sky, im just trying to get a 4b thats good for "me"

I got the Lowrange offroad SPOA kit and i got the Lowrange offroad Hi steer kit

i spoke to a guy on this club and his got SPOA and 31s and it doesnt look that high heres a pics

As with all mods there are different ways to go about it.

You can fit 33's with no lift if you are happy to do some panel work.

OME 1.5 with a leaf removed from all 4 springs or standard OME springs,

I wanted it to be 3 or 4" of lift, yous might not like it but i do, so i dont need lifted springs now with the SPOA, its all ready high enough

you dont want to use anything other than flat, non lifted springs for spoa.

the lower you can keep your car then less likly you will flip it.

believe me, you think your car will look cheep with chopped guards.

imagine how cheep it will look with a dented bonnet and the roof all stoved in.

A virtual lift done properly doesn't look cheap at all... low centre of gravity with chopped guards and big tyres is the new cool...

what is a virtual lift, and by chopping gaurds is it just on the inside and you just bigger flares, or what is invloved.
