Very quick question, is there any visual way of telling the difference between a 1L transfer and a 1.3. I just picked one up today out of a 86 NT 1.3 L. however it looks like a 1L case cos it has the drum and my 13. doesnt
cheers

I think (without looking) that 1lt low range is about 2.75 turns and 1.3 is about 2.5 turns.
Either way, 1lt will turn more than 1.3. I think 1lt it's 12% lower that 1.3.

X2 But that's not to say that someone have not fitted a 1lt case?
I have a 1lt case in a 85 drover that I fitted a while ago.

Today I pulled apart what I was told was a 1.3 NT transcase and when I got it apart from what I can tell its a 1L with 4wd switch!!!!!!!
I dont need it when my car is finsihed but will need it for a month while RWC and engineers is being done.
