I exploded the front diff in my vitara (alloy) today the diff center snapped right where the pinion bearing is pressed in. I know that these are prone to letting go but that is with bigger tyres etc i only have a 60mm lift and stock 215x75x16 highway terrains and it was muddy

Has anyone had it happen without big tyres and alot of traction

My guess is it was already on the way, being alloy it get fatigued, cracks start and it just needs one small thing to break it completely. I tore all mounts off one just driving up a small hill.
The straw that broke the camels back
