changing to the falcon 110 and have some questions and yes i already searched..... do you have to change water pump to swift ?? whats the difference ??? and what year swift, do i need to buy, if so ????

Water pump stays the same.
Just change the falcon alternator pulley so you use the sierra pulley.

ohh just read that properly myself, doesnt exactly specify what pulley is needed does it... does anyone know?

only thing stopping me from doing the upgrade is i dont know how to mount a thermo fan. wiring is no issue to me, easy enough to work out...

use vitara pulleys

to mount a thermo fan you use a thermo fan mounting kit funnily enough

swift pulley may require a new pump, different bolt patterns

theres some swifts out there that have the 4 bolt pulleys. grab these pulleys are they are the multi rib type and fit directly onto a g13ba and align perfectly with the falcon 110amp alt

coily's come out with a multi groove pulley as standard as i did this conversion on mine, so either the pulley or the water pump off a coily would fit i guess or is this the same as a barina??

stock 1.3 fan don't fit on the swift/barina water pump...
On mine I had an adaptor turned up by a mate.
multi V belts are far superior,
and make it easier for power steering addition, too,
as twin pulleys off most swift/barinas are bolt on...
some motors have a 5 bolt pulley which dont fit tho

i really havent researched much into it, so ive most likely misread somewhere, but as far as im aware the factory fan doesn't work with the new belt. assuming the vitara one would if its the same pulley, but id rather switch to thermos if i had to change the fan...

Vit waterpump pully on a leafy sierra waterpump gives the right multi rib needed to match the Barina/swift crank multi rib pully. the Alt. pully stays original ford equipment.

Pretty easy once u got all the bits... Just needs a redrill to fit the ford bolt.. 14mm I think.. Could b wrong..

Run a 10mm drill through the bracket and use the Ford bolt with the Alt.

I fited the gti altinator and water pump, a bottom pulley from a combo van. Power steering from a vitara.

17. Plug three socket connector into Falcon alternator

it might just be me but i cant seem to get the round three pin sierra plug
into the square two pin socket of falcon alt............

next time someone asks you might be able to tell them that the larger yellow wire from the falcon plug should be conected to the one from sierra that show 12v when ignition is on. as the 12v go to the diodes and turn the alt on. and the other to are joined together for the charge light on the dash.
