Thanks for the plug mate But I got some in to test and was less than impressed with the output. With the LED light bars, 10,000 Lumens at the lens doesn't translate to much after its travelled 30m

HID spots are heaps better and use similar current draw. And you can buy 5 of them for the same price as one decent size LED bar....

i always find that with LED vs Halogen... LED is definitely brighter to the eye, but doesnt travel half as far.

outta curiosity, is there any difference between circle and square spotlights other than the shape? as in, does one shine further or wider than the other?

In my experience - no - choose whatever fits in the space available or looks good with the shape of your headlights.

Further and/or wider is more about the design and quality of the optics (lens & reflector) than anything else - larger is generally better - but a properly designed 150mm lamp will outperform a poorly designed 240mm one.

I'm scared of the dark I run 2 lightforce 240's currently getting a 100 watt hid upgrade as my spots and 2 lightforce 170's with full spread covers, upgraded to 55 watt hid. It looks a tad OTT, but damn is it alot of light

p.s. they run ontop of the front bar atm, but I'm thinking about maybe trying to mount them on the roof, but worried the extra weight will make me roll over
