What else can you use them on?
You might as well use them if you can't get a refund.

The plastic side cover things just help to stop crap getting into the bearing.

The rubber seal is meant to be there.
If your really worried about it, go down to your local CBC, BSC, SKF or Bearing Traders and ask for a 6207.2rsr.c3.
My RRP on those is $20.00 + gst in SKF or NKE brand just so you have an idea on what your up for.

if its not your daily, yes i would, as it wont matter so much if or when they fail.
if its your daily aswell, i would go for better quality
ultimately its up to you, you could get days, months, years, decades out of them, and that goes for all bearings, no matter what brand
