G'day
Im going to start collecting the all the bits and pieces to put in a GV steel front diff but so my car is not off the road for to long i want to have it all built up so it's just a matter pulling the alloy center and diff housing out and bolting the GV housing and center straight back in, hopefully i can do that all in one day (but more than likely the way that i do things two days )......
Now i know i will need a RD88 airlocker as i have 26 spline CVs but what im not to sure on is if i get a set of 5.12 r&p from a 22 spline diff will it still all go together or am i missing something? or am i way off all together?
Cheers Joe

Doesn't the ARB catalouge say you need a vitara 3rd member not GV ?
That is my understanding reading through all the GV locker threads. If it is not the case that's good for me.

i think that is only for the rear diff... as i have the GV steel front diff with GV steel pinion carrier + RD88 air locker.

I grabbed this from the ARB application chart. Unless they only mean 01-05 GV models?
2
Grand Vitara/XL7 (to 2005) front requires conversion using RD88, Vitara/Sidekick third member assembly and free wheeling hubs.
3
Grand Vitara/XL7 (to 2005) rear requires conversion using Vitara/Sidekick third member assembly (& 26 spl axle shafts if required).
No application for current model (2005 on) Grand Vitara.
I should send my complete diff to you to fit a locker and do the stub axle mod like yours
