the rubber lengths off hot water copper pipes makes a great wind stop for above the windscreen in softops if cut in half.... is also handy to renew the rear hoop and stop it rubbing on the windows.

ammo cases(normally obtainable at wreckers or army surplus stores for less that $15.) make a great center glovebox/toolbox small parts holder...

obviously those with vits dont need this but for us poorer Sierra owners, its VERY handy...

'Scuse my mess....

you are able to turn the top strut mounts upside downb on a vit which lowers the top mounting point, this lets the strut drop a bit and gives you a bit more down travel in your front end

I believe a real 'modification' is something that improves the capability and performance of a vehicle over stock. Anything else is 'accessorising'!

I would find it hilarious if someone told me that they modded their car with pine tree deodorizers.

Spring clamps help control wrap. the flex gained is not worth it.

Extended shackles are only a good mod when used with longer leaves. You may get lift but I don't think thats the point. If they are straight up and down they wont improve flex. They need to fitted with longer leaves or move shackle mounts so they are on an angle.

Redrilling your spring perches/plates to move the axle forward/back. Great for fine tuning for tyre clearance and costs bugger all.

threw me there but a google search reveals all...

http://www.lyricsvault.info/songs/12829.html

Bob Hudson
The Newcastle song

Dont' you ever let a chance go by,
O Lord,
Don't you ever let a chance go by.
Yes, up in Newcastle they have very strange mating habits. All the young women of Newcastle
walk down the main street
which is called Hunter Street
for reasons that will become obvious
later on in the song.
All the young men of Newcastle
drive down Hunter Street
in their hot FJ Holdens
with chrome plated grease nipples
and double reverse
overhead twin cam door handles,
sitting eight abreast in the front seat,
and they lean out of the window
and say real cool things to the sheilas
on the footpath, like 'Aah g'day'.
And every now and then, of course,
one of the young ladies thinks to herself
Ummmm
she thinks
Ummmmm.

Chorus
Anyway there was this mob of blokes
driving down Hunter Street
in the front seat of the hot FJ
with chrome plated grease nipples
and twin overhead foxtails,
and the coolest of them all,
who got to sit near the window,
was young Norm.
And they pulled up outside
the Parthenon milk bar
and standing outside
the Parthenon was this beautiful looking sheila.

Oooh! Oooh! said young Normie
who'd come top of his class in English,
Ooooh! he said.
So he leaned out of the window,
and he said real, real suave like,
he said G'day.
This nine foot tall Hell's Angel
came out of the Parthenon milk bar,
looked at Norm and said
Arr, what are ya?
Norm said What are you?
Bloke on the footpath said
D'ya want a go, do ya mate, eh?
Norm said Yeah, d'you want a go, mate?
Bloke on the footpath said
Yeah I'll have a go
Norm said
D'you know who you're picking?
The bloke on the footpath said
Nah, who am I picking?
Norm said
You find out
And all of a sudden there was a break in the traffic,
and as any young Newcastle lad knows-
when you're getting monstered
by a nine foot tall Hells Angel
and there's a break in the traffic....

Chorus

Okay Ive always been a fan of the white writing, but to make that white writing really show up I would coat it in Jiff leave for 5mins then come back with a scrubbing brush and scrub it off. White writing as white as can be without having to buy the white pen....

Urm okay now with my cheap mods, well I guess more so fixes.

$8 window winder so I could stick my head out the window again when out wheeling

$16 Floor bungs from Suzuki so water does fill up my foot wells when Im out swimming around in muddy water.

$2.80 shoelace to hold my Snorkel on after it got ripped of the side pillar on a tree last outing. 8O
