The whole things chit chat. I'm wonder why its in tech and not just plain chat lol. So far the only useful stuff has been perch redrill, sway bar removal, spring leaf removal, radiator backflush, the rubber pipe lagging for seals was helpful lol....ummmm I think thats it.

Things I've found useful personally

Leaf removal (articulation)
Getting a shroud for my radiator (was overheating big time)
Gabrielle commo shocks (articulation)
Cut off the bumper outriggers (clearance)
Hammer seams (clearance)
Half RUF (a drill, 2 old spring packs, some steel for shackles = cheap to me)

not so much modifications but testing of modifications.....

$20 fuel to drive up the local car park and check your approach angle on honda civics and the like!

Remove hinges and rear door. bolt hinges to rear body mounts (long arm) sit door in place and latch with original latch. Bend up hinges and mark and drill holes in lower lip of door. Bolt together. add side chains and hey presto drop down tailgate.

brake upgrade for sierra and SWB vits.

use LWB vitara front rotors and calipers. Completely bolt on. in sierra you need to trim stone guard and caliper needs to be removed and rotated to bleed properly.

(LWB vitaras have vented discs and larger pads.)

replace the washer nozel with irragation drip line with big 45 deg spray heads and connect the line line to your wiper arms to clean the mud off easier.

That is a bloody good idea! I have been trying to come up with an idea for cheap underbody illumination. I just wonder though, how will the halogen bulbs coe with mud and stuff on them?

You should do a tech write up for those ppl who don't recognise those parts

no worries at all with the mud and stuff, i actually used pond illumination lights( about $10 from that hardware place) can go green, red, blue, yellow, white.

Will think bout the right up, certainly easy as hell to do. should have no worries in sourcing the parts.. I did it spontaniously while shopping for cement lol.

Should be any year model, as long as it's a LWB. The 2.0 V6 ones are slightly bigger again.

GV are different rotor offset, I think the 2.0 V6 is too but look on the DBA rotors site to see
