Need help at taking of the sill plastic, the zook is a SWB Vitara. i'm normally really good at pulling bits of my car but this has me buggerd it looks like it has push button sorta clips but for the life of me can not get the little buggers to let go, reason i want them gone is i suspect there may be a bit of rust and i want to hammer that little lip under there flat, i bashed it a few roots today so the plastic doesn't look good any more.
(ASAP please, want to get it done this arvo if possible)
your wisdom  is much apreacited (spelling)

It's a bit of a mission getting the blade underneath the head of some of them. On some the head just sheared off, the plastic was a bit brittle.

The little centre bit of the plastic clips should screw out like a normal screw, but they never do!! They usually just go round and round because you have to put so much pressure on to make them turn.
I just ended up levering mine till the plastic clips broke.

I didnt think they were threaded, I remember them as being ribbed like that to stop them rattling out. Could be wrong though.

Just double checked the ones I pulled outa mine and they are definitely threaded. They always get real tight with dust and dirt and never unscrew like they are supposed to though. If you can get them up a little bit you can sometimes lever with a really small flat blade whilst unscrewing with the phillips head

YEah I had the square ones on mine and all you need is a small flat blade to wedge the centre of the square out and then they fall out. If your not planning on putting them back on just rip them off and chuck'em in the bin! _________________ Thanks,

i just got up em with a LARGE flat bladed screw driver and i flattened the lipy bit with a lump of wood and a hydrolic trolly jack.

Nah Just take her for a bit of Rock Hopping, they soon Bash off... (talking from experience lol, But I found mine and a few of those expanding Screws and there back on) ...

they're a pain in the ass..one hit on a shrub/stick and they catch on your door every time...... both of mine are catching ...
just to lazy to take em off...ughh
