Well here is what is happening,
i have a 1995 vitara fuel injected, i went 4wding about 1 month ago and still hadnt got to giving my engine a proper clean up, so sat i got the hose out and soap and washed my engine and engine bay and all sourrnding parts. now i parked it in the shed and left it there overnight, i drove sunday morning and when it got warm it started spitting and carrying on.
it would only when i put the throttle on and as soon as it got over about 2500 revs it stopped spitting and revved all the way up the rev range fine.
at idle she idles a little bit rough with the occasional spit. a friend thinks that i have got water in the distributer so i got wd-40 and sprayed the shit outta it and sprayed all other electrical components that i know of.
If anyone has any idea on what could be the problem i would love to hear from you.
Cheers

Craig

did you wipe the wd40? it conducts electricity

check for water in the plug holes as well, even water in the intake

definately no water in the air-intake, filter was little bit dirty so blew it out, and no difference, the weird thing is, its when the car heats up, car runs like it is suppose to until it heats up?

Oh as for the car at the front of the motor there is a plug (White)on the L/H side looking from the front of the car sitting vertical with 9 holes with wires going into it. 2or 3 of them do not have wires in them, seal them up and seal the others up as well ( Liquid Tape )

Next in the dark remove the coil lead from the coil and crank it over and see if the coil shorts out everywhere. This happened to Stretch and what had happened was the lead was never pushed all the way in and burnt the backerlight from inside the coil entrance, chaec also if the lead into the coil is black as this will tell you it is jumping a spark.

Could also spray the electrics with a sm squirter bottle ( Use Mist)and see what happenes while the car is running.
