2nd hand muddies are false economy.

Federal Couragias are one of the cheaper (decent) mud tyres available in the size you want.

I got lucky, but I think I was the exception as I havn't seen anyone else do the same.

Another vote for the Couragia's, good tyre for the money you pay.
