hey guys i will be putting heavy duty cluch in my suzuki sierra
as my mate and i have never done one .. how hard is it any advice before attempting it or links to guides

Don't be scared... its not too hard. Make sure you know where all the bolts go when you take them off. To take the gearbox out, I found it easier without the front driveshaft and the exhaust Just gives you more space. Also, unbolt the rear gearbox mount from the gearbox and the chassis.Have to take the starter motor out too. The hard part is getting the new clutch lined up. I got a friend to eye it up for me.

my experience with heavy duty clutches involves lots of broken clutch cables so i put a stock one back in.

if your clutch is slipping and you have bigger tyres then standard with stock gearing you would be better off fixing the gearing.

hey shep i do have 31s on atm but my gearing is not stock i have 6.5.1 transfere gears also i will be going up to 33s .. and the reasion im changing the cluch in the first place is theres nothing left of the stock one . i used to run 31s with no transfere gears and play a little to hard on the rocks then also i had it on the beach .. basicly iv just worn the cluch down to nothing .

I used stock replacement on 33's. 6.5's. 1.6efi. I drove a mates with HD and it was hard to press, and hard to regulate slip etc. on/off feel.

The only time it would slip would be in heavy deep mud, Because the clutch was in the mud..

No slip includes dry road drift u turns with a locker cos im sick to the max..

ah i see so i wont get the feel in the cluch ? that would suck might stick with a a stock cluch then "?

As above completely remove gearbox mount, and have a mate wiggle the motor back and forth until it comes out.

Fiinally got it done.....it fell back in, you have to either remove the exhaust or brake it near the transfer and zip ty it to the chassie.
There is more room on the port side, and it was stress free'

The starter gave me the most trouble, it took ten minutes just to find the mounting bolts.In the endI removed the hoses from the fuel pump, and tied
the heater hose back to the dizzy. It was still a battle.

aw yea it came out when I jacked the front of the motor up, but still scraped the clutch
