Hi all,

I will be helping a mate do a suspension lift in his leafy soon. I want some ideas and thoughts as to what works for you and what brands you have used. It is a SWB WT that will be running 30's, used mainly as a play thing for runs around glass house and the like.

i use ome shortest leaf removed (not load leaf) rubber bushes
comm/lux shocks i found that removing load leaf as well made it bottom out too much. d/d on 29's

A few of us have been trying to get Kings springs lately, and we have been getting prices in the vecinity of $400 to $600 a pair for rears!!!

If you do find a sensibly priced supplier for them please do tell !

My 2" Kings were 500 a set! (few yr ago)

EFS are a little longer than other brands however i found that i was removing atleast 2 leafs to get them to flex and be a little comfortable to drive. The rear springs quickly saged as a result.

My mate had king springs in his for ages and they never sagged and he gave them alot of shit. They went pretty well offroad but were painfully hard. He still had the load leaf though so thats probably why.

They do flex extremely well, but I would not recommend em for a daily, absolutely nothing against the quality, just to soft for road use..IMO.

Do what Royce said. Thats what I'm running, minus the greasable shackles.
II got my springs and shocks from supercheap online. From memory it was $720 for springs and shocks and freight.

nothing against Bruces bushes at all, they are well thought out, my only issue is flexing too much so i tended to cut them in half after one or two trips.

Most likely but compared to what other sierra setup? Mine has a super soft spring rate now with 3-3.5inch of up travel b4 the bumps and 4.5-4inch of droop from standing position. The koni's are doing a great job at soaking up the bumps but it aint no high speed rally car . Swaybar is a wanted item onroad, does a real good job!

What sort of shocks would you put in a leafy? Not much mention on the actual shock absorbers you'd use or are using.

I got some old king springs and a 2" lift, 215/75/15 tyres, and i'm keeping the sway bar in as my zook is a daily drive first and foremost. The back shocks are very boingy - way past their best and i'll have to replace sometime soon.

Suggestions would be awesome.

I have heard good things about OME, and Deaver springs, Deaver especially.

What are the thought from the guys that run them? I don't know if we get King's here. So I haven't heard anything about them.

One quick one, Could anyone show me a good place to get progressive bumpstops? Or maybe a style of progressive stop that works good?

I am completely un-educated in bumpstops, and I want to get some good ones from the go.
