Clutch works fine, f'n fan belt slips and throws rubber all around the engine bay, have had a fiter & and turner, and deisel fitter look at it, all pullies appear to line up , water and alt pullies turn freely when no belt.

Belt lasts 1-2oo k's ????????????

is the pulley warped or something? ie: you're tensioning it at its loose or tight point, then its self destructing when it spins?

stock alternator?

when it throws the belt, one pulley will likely be real hot, thats whats seized

It's hard to tell if pullies are warped or not, whilst there're fitted to car,but due for another belt, and will look again then.

Changed belts before they break of throw.

Will put new belt on tomorrow, but has been happening since got car..................about five belts ago....maybe geting worse.

does teh part number start with 11a and 3 or 4 digits or just A and 2 digits?

Nephew's car, he replaced belt while I wasn't here,but useed belt grip so no noise at present.


Belt is 11A0840, but I've got 11A0825 on one of mine.

is your alternater vibrating on the mounts, mine did that and destroyed two.
