Ok gotta 2009 GV3 2.4 manual. Left the fridge connected over night by mistake and ....dead battery next morning. Just enough life to make clicking sound when you turn the key. Anyhoot ...connected battery charger and charged it all back up.

The Km per ltr thing was on 10.6 and has been for ages. When I restarted the car after dead battery the light with a car and skid marks came on and flashed for a bout 10 mins then went off. Now the Km per ltr thing is all over the place. It went to 10.4 then a short time later 10.9 then back to 10.7 now today its upto 11.3. This is over a distance of 150km driven since the bat flattery !!!

Do I need to get something done or will it settle by itself ....anything else that may have been affected by the dead battery. It was never disconnected ...just went flat (dead flat).

The fuel economy may have been reset when the battery died, and now it is starting to count again... Sooner or later it will settle on a long term average again.

I can't see that a flat battery will cause any significant issues to the car.

And being a 09 model wouldn't it still be under new car warranty? If it is, why don't you ring the dealership and ask them.

And ask them what??

Like I was saying, the display is the average fuel economy since the last time it was reset. After a 1000km or so it'll settle on a long term average...

When the battery died, it reset the fuel economy counter. As such, your average economy since the reset is jumping aroumd a bit, as it will tend to do as 150km is not far enough for it to have evened out to a steady average yet...
