I broke a uni joint in half a bent up the yoke on the tail shaft. I decided enough is enough and decided to build a heavy duty model.
I used the small ends off 2 80 series tail shafts and cut the tube down.
The bolt pattern is the same except the spigot is 1mm smaller and the pinion nut hits. So I pulled the yokes apart and machined them out. I also machined the tube down and weld prepped it for a yoke to spigot in.
now runs cruiser uni joint which are 29 mm instead of the 25mm suzuki ones.. Cruiser tube is 70mmwith a much bigger and longer spline, Suzuki is 50mm
If I break this one I will have serious problems!
