I had a closer look at the wheels just now. the read "289 7 22" then on the other side of the valve stem "6jjx15" and they are ROH wheels.

Wheel's are measured on the inner bead, not the bit you hammer weight's on to, so the tyre really need's to be off to measure.
Yes the 6jjx15 is 6 wide 15 high & I've forgotten jj

cut a straight object that fits into the rim where you need to measure to

Do a search for "offset" and you should find what you need, there's a really good write-up somewhere. Basically it's how far off centre the face that bolts to the hub sits.

if u where told 22, then the guy that sold them to u proberly means +22,
that deffinitly dnt look like a -22.

Offset is reasonble easy once u get used to, 0 offest means your rim centre(where it bolts to the car)
is in the middle of the room, ie. if it where an 8 inch rim there would be 4 inch either side,
so there for if you had an 8 inch rim with a -25 there would be 3 inch back space and 5 inch on the out side,
hopefully this helps a bit,
if u want to measure your off set, put the rim flat on the ground, and measure to the rim center(where it bolts to the car,
then right it up, hopefully ill be able to figure it out,

Yes the 6jjx15 is 6 wide 15 high & I've forgotten jj

JJ means the rims had rolled bead retaining lips on both side of the rim a j rim only has it on one side

So would a "j" rim would be more likely to have the tyre roll off at low pressure :?:
