Im not aware of any that use 2 vit cases. There are a few that use a vita and a toy case, so you still get the centre output.

Also others that convert to W56 or similar with marllin twin toy cases, but I've not seen a twin vit case kit thats off the shelf.

The OTT kicker 2 uses a modded vit case with an adaptor to toy transfer. Probably the closest you will get without custom making it.

I have seen a few but cant remember where
U have to cut the front output shaft off the old case and have a plate tiged over the hole then I think they bolt together with just a splined coupler between them

5.12 diffs will help.
I'll be running 35" tyres so can always put one case in low if needed... I don't drive on the road and max speed in the bush is 70 km/h or so.

Yes, no synchros in a transfer means a stop is necessary to shift between ranges.

joeblow might like to add something on the possibility of dual vit cases, the removal of the front output is well known now so another transfer on the back might be possible

what about the guy on here putting the v6 in a sierra and he has used a lux transfer case on a vitara box because its a bolt up. you could just use a twin kit for a lux then.

don't know if its the same box between the 1.6 and 2.5

only other way i can think of is how joe cuts them for twins in a sierra but you make it so a stock tcase bolts up to the cut tcase

Yeh I realised that, just wasn't sure if it was some form of gearbox addition then I realised it's just a second transfer case that goes between the gearbox and the original transfer case.

Still, provided you had 1:1 for high range (unless you wanted permanent reduction) then you would only be gaining extra range!

Got a link to that thread Brett? That might be the way to go. Would also save the drama of the Vit front output being the slip joint.

I just rang OTT in Canada and they aren't making any Kicker setups for 2-3 months as they are downsizing factories and have been hit hard by the "GFC"

V6 box differs to teh 1.6 box though, guess youll have to fit a 2.5 now

Looks like a possible solution...
The other problem I have is eliminating the slip joint from the front output.
In the picture below from the undertaker link is a bolt on flange but Trail Tough don't list it.... Any ideas???


I have a mate that runs a CNC lathe and mill for a living, might talk to him about mating hilux (ewww wash my mouth out) transfer to Vitara box which gives me more gearing or twin transfer options down the track.

We made our own slipyoke eliminator,

use a flange from a diff, you will find it has the same splines, you will need to weld in a nut or something like that to the flange and get the output shaft tapped and bolt put in but it works great.
