ok heres my problem !
i got my sellf a suzuki sierra wide track that im doing up

now iv got another sierra for parts the other has 31s lift blah blah
im puting every thing from the lifted one into the good one lol

now my standered one has the 1.3 trans case
and the lifted one i think has a 1lt trans case and also
i got another trans case, i got told it was a 1lt or one with gears for 31s

now my question is how do i tell wich one is the 1lt case that will fit into my normal sierra because the plan is to be runing 30s or 31 on the normal sierra.
sounds dumb but i dont know with one is a 1.3 or a 1lt :(
(maybe if i take pics of them lol)
(or is there any body close to western side of melbourne that wants to cum over and have a look ??)

sorry to be a head fu.k guys but i need help with this asap

Does any of the cases have a handbrake drum on the transfer case if so that's a early model 1l case.
I'm not sure if the later 1l case has the drum

all narrow track sierras have a transcase handbrake. 1.0 and 1.3. they look the same on the outside.
if you turn the input flange 10 times with a bit of string on the output you should be able to se the difference between a 1.0 and a 1.3 case.

early 1.0 looks completely different.

:? What's the string for??? Are you pretending it's a winch??

narh you count how many times it goes around and then you can work out the ratio.

well you could pretend it is a winch as well.

The string is there to remind you of something or other you should have remembered after you've counted 10 turns.

Just put the case in to Low, fit a bolt (or piece of string!) to one of the INPUT flange holes, and turn the OUTPUT flange ONCE. If the Input turns 2 1/2 times (2.511), it's a 1.0lt. If it turns 2 1/4 times (2.268), it's a 1.3lt.

If you start with the fitted bolt at the 12 o'clock position, you don't need to count the number of turns of the input, just turn the OUTPUT one complete turn. The bolt on the INPUT flange will end up at either the 3 o'clock/9 o'clock position(1.3lt), (depending on which way you rotate the flange) or 6 o'clock(1.0lt) position.

Your not, early 1lt case, you will need to hybrid the shaft's to make it fit..

235 tyres are about 12%
I think this case is around 12% reduction
So with 235 it will get you roughly back to stock
30 is just a bit to much but that's aight
