that was just to darwin.
means it is going to be close to $5k for the kit. the next cheapest price was 7k from a oz company.
oh well, lucky my MRS wants the car as well.

Some one like Abt should be able to make something similar
Using diffs that would work
Lux diffs would need massive spacers to clear 37
80 front and super hiace rear would be heaps better. They still use the same centers
My mate just went through this on hiss Sierra. The 39 and 3 in wheel spacers were killing things.
Just use solid bar and tap he ends then they don't need to be tested

do you know where i live and the difficulties i am going to have getting
something passed. a lane change test has the potential to cost me over 5 grand.
i am going to go the TT kit because it has been done before, and all the
important bits are factory made plus i wont have to work out anything
like arm lengths/position or steering geometry. i have a good chance of getting a kit passed
without having to get an engineers report or do a lane change test.
if i cant get it passed with the kit then i wont be able to build it at all.
the TT kit is for 35s with a little trimming so i cant see it being a issue.

i am not being harsh mate but i need to be able to show the TAC mob that
i am using a proven method or they will want engineers reports and lane
change tests which means i will never be able to sas a vit
and i don't really want to calmini a vit like everybody else does.

To run lux diffs with 35 u would need massive offset rims or u would have no steering lock
I have 31'on my vit with +10 which is the biggest legal off set in nsw and I had to extend my steering stops heaps to stop the tires rubbing the chassis
Vits have a very wide chassis that's why I recon u would have more of a chance getting it passed with wider diffs. That way u could use STD rims
The kit should still work with the wider diffs as they are pretty much the same housing just wider. U would need the rhd steering any way just tell them to make the drag link longer

i have to use the diffs the kit
specifies as the original spring mounts are used to locate all the bits that need to be welded to the diff

i will be using ifs hilux rear diff and hilux solid front diff with ifs hubs and landcruser offset rims(-28). it will be much wider then stock.

You don't know anyone else willing to do the kit do you?? They offer a decent discount if you order 2 or more kits.

My boss approached them late last year about this kit and the buggy kit, and that's what we were told.

We ran a Vit on 35"'s with lux diffs and no spacers for a few years and the problems with the steering had nothing to do with the tyres it was that teh steering box could not get enough lock to the diff. You are running 31"s with the IFS setup, totally different and with your lift you have brought the rims closer to the chassis. The lux diffs are a lot further away from the chassis when mounted up with this kit.

I have the back bolt hole drilled out 30mm so it's wider then stock
How much offset did ur ifs rig run with the 35

The Comp car................it ran 1.5" wheel spacers.

The one with the the lux diffs was tigger a looong time ago, the rims had just about no offset they were 16x8s and they had narrow simex pedes
