Well.. I went offroading today and my Speedo was reading 70kph..... in 4L.

So somethings not right.. its making a grindy noise..

So Is there a cheap option in fixing the speedo ?

yep been thar, 4L 70kph in a white sierra sideways :twisted: poin at a gully at landcruiser park with a loose nut behind the wheel...... :wink: cant help with the speedo but :lol: 8)

if you think it isnt reading right rip it out and take it to a instrument repair mob and they will sort it out and calibrate it (hint get bigger tyres now and have it calibrated to suit) for less money that getting one from a wreckers

had plenty repaired through work but not adjusted to suit tires but I guess if you could tell em how many turns per KM on speedo they could

though perhaps they would only be able to tweak the speed not the odo cause tis a geared link

cant remember how much, over 10 years ago now

I think the internal Gearing might have been shaken loose.. we were doing some pretty stressful stuff today and it is Definately in the speedo area as the cable is Still working.. Just making a Nasty noise like its jumped a Gear or smashed one inside the speedo housing itself.

I am thinking if I can get a Digital Speedo then I wouldnt have to worry about replacing the Analogue one..

How the hell do you rip one out? Any one got a link to the Relevant instructions?

Bloody Gremlins have dissappeared... took the car down and they couldn't even find a gear worn or anything... GRRRRR!!!!
