i was cleaning my zook and when to change the heater from fresh air to resurculate and the leaver wouldn't move so i looked under the dash and found the vent on the passanger side where is sucks in air and it was stuck shut i finally got it open and inside theres like a couple kilos or mud and crap
what is the best way to clean it out and would this have something to do with water getting in when it rains?

That's exactly why rain comes in. There are drain holes that run out through the fire wall and have little rubber elbows that bend downwards. I haven't tried pulling out a Sierra heater box but I've pulled out others and lets just say it's not easy. Do your best to scrap it out and maybe use a little water once you have the worst out.

so if i hose it out that should be alright?

Just try not to get too excited with the hose, there is a lot of electrics that don't want to get wet.

i'll just try to stick the hose in the vents

The iZook areticle is good but doesn't mention that the rest of the system gets crap in it too.

Because i'm pedantic and like to stuff around and take ages to do even the simplest of jobs I pulled the heater out and apart to clean it out. Which meant I had to pull the whole dash out.... It was clean in the end though...
