i was trying to wash my soft top the other day and i was using car soap and a sponge and it all looked good but when i dried it was just as dirty as when i started
does anyone have any tips for getting the mud out?
i want to clean it because a brown roof looks shit on a black sierra

meguirs or mothers make a cleaner for soft top vehicles, that and a scrubbing brush works ok

I just use normal car wash detergent and a small scrubbing brush. Chamois dry, then a healthy dose of armour-all will have it looking brand new!

Oh the dirt in the softtop pores? Yeah, i tyre shine my tyres, All the black barwork. And the whole softop! Supacheap spray does mine, but uses a fair bit.

yeah thats it it almost looks like its dyed brown

Go with Royce's Tip it works.
You need to get the dirt out of the top first and then you need to put something on after to stop the dirt getting back in.

Only differance I would use a thick sponge and work it in a circle pattern in sm areas so that it won't dry.

Armour All tends to leave a white resadue after a while I found.

i think bout half a can or more Abit different to my other cars tyres, 215/35r18 Rubber bands dont need much

i thinking i'm gonna have to use everything because soap with a scrubbing brush does nothing at all to it

i ended up using some brush on tyre shine stuff that has been sitting in the garage since my mum had a sierra (at least ten years) and it came up better than new its good stuff

after i wash my top i use lanoline on it and while im at it i spray everywhere but does any body know what to use on windows to bring them back to see threw
