ok i have the softop vit but with a fibreglass canopy and i cannot for the life of me get it off. between the a and b pillars just above the door seal, theres a latch that seems to be joined to a piece of tube. i cant lift my canopy up high enough to see wtf(!) it is/does.. can anyone help me out? i dont know if its joined to the canopy (and the reason why i cant get it it off) or not.

There are several types of glass tops for Vits. If you can provide a pic I may be able to help you further.

red box is the latch. it flips left and right. no idea what it does.
blue box is the metal tube.

the top pic: i still have that latch, it holds onto the FB. also that black metal tube- i have more hooks that hook onto it. not sure why it has them.. whats the point?
