i've read on here and a few places that vs/vr rear shocks and 2wd hilux rears fit on a sierra so i went to super cheap to get a price but i worked out i didn't have enough info
does it matter if they are wagon or sedan commo rears?
what model 2wd hilux rears do i need?

I am aware they are
part # 81147 for your back shocks - Hiace/Hilux
part # 81340 for your front shocks - vr/vs commodore rears
I don't have them fitted myself, but would like to know what sort of ride you get.

i think it's the wagon rears fit the front on the sierra. I had them on mine for a while. I used 4wd hilux rears from my old 97 hilux and they were 2inches longer than standard sierra rears. I later got some newer 4wd hilux rears, around 2000 4wd model, they were even longer again.

who would of thought all those years ago when I ruffed my sierra one morning before work and needed longer shocks for now that the wagon shocks I pulled out of the bin that looked like they might work would become the industry standard

Are the sedan ones slightly shorter than those from the wagon? I have 2 pairs and one is a little shorter, just trying to figure out why

nope sedan is way longer, different brands would be different lengths I think

you can put sedan in the back of a vit but I think they are a bit long compressed and you ned big bumpstop spacers, good if you have a lot of lift though

"Too long" as in too long o fit the stock mounts, that's what you're talking about right?

yep, not enough room in there to fit the extended length you need for a flexy lifted vitara

they charge an extra $30 to order them i'll have to go in and talk to them and see how long it will take and see if they can get one to match the one i got

just go buy some ome shocks I just put ome shocks in my sierra had to do some work tom make the bush fit the bolt size but i got them in a little more travell too i got 1inch front and rear with stock springs

commodore shocks have about 3 to 4inches more travel and they fit straight in no modifications required

Will the SupaCheap shocks # 81147 fit a sierra with SPOA? I am going to mount the shocks on the bottom of the diff housing.

yeah more than likely it will work. the rears are a fair bit longer than stock but with your hieght it may work well for you.

i ordered mine from my local small auto spares shop
$19 cheaper per shock than supercheap same part number same brand
i did not expect such a big difference i was shocked x 4
