Has 2 idle control's, one is a water temp wax Idle up for cold start & the other is an ecu controlled air by pass, you need to find out which one's playing up..

there is a smallish hose coming out of the intake hose that goes to a lil valve, that valve is the IAC, Idle Air Control valve, will be a plug on said valve, from memory it's green, eng off, ing off, disconnect said plug, start car up, tell us what happens.. :D

Probs not even the ECU, most likely a fault with teh IAC

Arent you the electronics guru?

IAC opened by ecu, idle speed goes up, unplug IAC idle speed stays low, how is the ecu not opening the IAC?

its the fact that the ecu is seeing a need to allow air in thats the problem, so something else isnt working correctly, so it could run better

IAC motor not returning home....... Or IAC valve faulty

And here's one for ya, why did suzuki incorperate 2 idle up systems? Hell with a lil bit of extra code in the ECU firware the IAC could do all teh idle up tasks.

Yeah I thought that was a bit strange when I first got mine

Maybe its cause whoever looked after the idle control part screwed it up so badly they chopped it out and added some carby parts after they fired him?
