so out camping on friday i started to have some electrical woes
started with what seamed like alt problems, turning car off not starting and needing a jump start, when driving lights were really dim and radio wasnt turing on. set up camp for night and left it for the morning
the next morning in my hangover haste i put the jumper leads on the wrong terminals, some sparks and a bit of smoke comming from the positive terminal followed.

now when key is turned, no dash light and nothing happens, no clicky starter or anything. it has a new battery that is fully charged and has the clicky starter fix

i have checked fuses under the dash and all are good
bat earth, earth near rear light are all good.

i have no idea what is wrong

Id pull the terminals and clean them, see what that does, other than that, there is a burnt wire somewhere, or, battery is cactus.

well the problem is all sorted now, thanks all for the quick help
for the record in my 92 sierra the fuseable link was green, so i replaced it with a green 30amp 15v inline fuse. works like a charm and is a bit more practicle if it burns out again so i dont need to be towed home 120km :?
