hey guys,after extensive trawling through other threads im actually unable to find if you need 4 of the same springs?

some threads say they use standard rears in the front and 2" lifted springs in the back,others say 2" lifted rears all round.

is anybody able to shed some light on this for me?i have remounted the hangars and extended the chassis so that the distance between both mounts on the front is 980 (the back is apparently 985) and want to get a lift all around that will leave it sitting nice and high and level.

Depends on how much hieght you want/need. 2inch all round will more then likely leave you higher in the front which can usually be sorted with ext. shackles in the back.

that idea works for me.any1 tried efs 65mm in the back and 2" in the front?

if you've extended the chassis at the front to be the same (or near enough to) as the back, I would think you should use the same spring in all 4 corners,

the standard rears is the half ruf- redrill hanger, extended shackle combo

i must admit im a little confused as i currently have standard rears in the front (pretty sagged) which leaves the front 10mm higher than the back (2" ome rears load leaf and 1 leaf removed)

i would have thought even with those removed they would be a bit higher than std rears?

are you sure the fronts arnt sagged 2 inches and the rears stocks?

From what I've read I thought it was standard rear springs up front and 2" lifted springs in the rear.. I could be wrong tho..

ah ok thanks ron nah i know definitely stock rears up front and ome 2" out back. considering playing around with the efs springs for height

Ivebeen looking at either the Calmini 3" or the Efs 65mm however I've asked a few shops and they dont stock either so am thinking ill see what the states have to offer..

Any chance you know a store that carried the efs 65mms?

Have you tried running with the extra leaf back in to even it out ?

there are a few over here in wa,suzistore midland is probably most common.

yea red tried but even with that one removed they are an impossibly tough ride im finding. been hoping to find a suitable replacement that doesnt feel like my back is going to break over every speed bump.shackle angle at the bqack is good too,have already checked that,changed springs to standard rears,far far nicer for comfort but around 2 1/2" too low lol

if you did not extend the chassis the lift in the front would be about right.
the amount of front lift will depend on the distance between the spring mounts.

put 1"longer shackles in the rear to level the back up
or maybe put the extra leaf back in.

or as I'd do just use it

There's some descent info in my build thread f you go have have a look at it. My springs were custom made all round but with the same camber front to rear. They were pretty much the same length as an EFS 65mm spring. Just a word of warning EFS main leaf length is the absolute borderline longest main length that will work with stock length shackles. They most likely will fold flat onto the chassis rail when loaded with stock shackles. I made my front spacing 990 to account for this.

Just out of curiosity what pressure do you run in your tyres, alot of guys run mid 20's to overcome the harsh ride.

if you do a chassis extension and use standard rear springs and shackles, then it will sit lower then the rear.... but if you use standard rear springs, longer shackles and don't move the mounts then it will sit level with slightly saggy rear 50mm lift springs....

i run 20psi all round red,atm its very comfortable for a sierra,just meant with the ome's i found it pretty harsh.

ah mine is sitting lower at the back with chassis extension and standard shackles with a good shackle angle.

does anyone have any experience with the westcoast suspension 2" springs?

All mine had was 40mm OME rears all round, front hanger redrilled back with TSOR shackles all round and it sat dead even..

id do that crewsy but the rear hanger has already been flipped and chassis already been extended

iv got 800mm from top of front flare to ground and 780mm from top of rear flare to ground
