Ok So what started as a quick rear brake cly replacement (small leak) 
has turned out stuffing me up ! went to ripco this avo to get them ,
provided year make model engine size collour tyre size ect
There are two types cant tell till I get them off ! Take off hubs "massive leak" Oh well to bad ! New pads 2 ! Looking at the drum , Not looking so good 
Don't know if I can get them machined (Saturday or even buy new ones)
Need car fixed daughter needs it for work 
Any Ideas ???

ring around in the morning, should be a few places will machine them Saturday morning if you are early enough
they are drums, it wont matter if you stick em back on as is and get em done in a week

Vitara/Grand Vitara Brakes? - at risk of highjacking your thread so as not to start another one:
I am about to replace my busted rear axle, so while I'm at it I am going to do the bearings and brake cylinders, now, I know there is a fair bit of meat still on the pads, but as I am pulling it all apart, should I be replacing everything and having the drums machined? Is it nessercary? What should I be looking for in the drum in the way of wear?

If the shoes still have plenty of meat on them, you can reuse them, But If your having the drums machines you should use fresh shoes and keep the ones your taking off as spare.
The things to look for in the drums are the same as the front disc's. Cracks, score marks, excessive wear.

Do you remember the size wheel cylinders you got? i just ordered a pair and the guy at better brakes said i needed 7/8 by looking at my master cylinder. mines a swb 92 vitara.

You will notice on excessively worn drums, there is a lip that forms between where the shoe runs and the top edge. This makes it hard to adjust the shoes properly creating excessive pedal travel. They can also wear out of round, causing the pedal to pulsate when braking. Generally you can get away with a lot with drums, more so that discs, but a quick machine never hurts.
