Hi everyone, I'm shopping around for a new set of tyres, and I've narrowed it down to a few.
What I'm asking is if anybody has used these tyres, what kinds of life you've gotten out of them, wear pattern, etc.
My choices are:
- Maxxis Bighorns
- Federal Couragias
- Hancook Dynapro RT03s
Any help would be great. Thanks.

I have couragia's, good tyre for money. bit of a hum on the road. good offroad, havn't had them long enough to comment on wear

Love the Bighorns my choice would be them time and time again  big nosiy on road but off road awsome tyre

Bighorns. Good tyre, they take a lot of off road abuse and got good grip. but like most muddies are not good on wet tar

Go the bighorns mate they are just plain out f*cking awesome..... the one fault they do have compared to the bfgoodrich is the side wall on the Maxxis dont take that much wear and tear.
But honestly if you aint doing silly things that involve the side wall copping a lot then MBH's are the go.

Ive got the hancooks. Quiet, Good price, haven't taken them bush yet. They have a similar tread pattern to the km2s (not exactly)

Well, I'm going to be driving in the sand a bit, so the sidewalls will be fairly close to the ground.

I have Couragias on the LJ, 30x9.5/15 and Bighorns on the Defender, 255/85x16 hard to give a direct comparison as they're on very different vehicles and very different sizes. Maybe the Maxxis are a little better quality but it depends on your budget, neither has let me down. Haven't done a lot of kms on the Maxxis yet though but I think they'll last longer, neither is quiet but that's muddies for you.

the hankooks are a fucking awesome tyre.
i have had them in every terrain and cant fault them.
i drove many long trips with them around WA and over extremely sharp rocks in the pilbara with very very little wear at all.
i probably did around 15 000 km's in them with minor wear, then i drowned the jimny, but still have the tyres.
they are relatively quiet, good priced and bag out really well when using on sand. i found they werent as good as my maxxis AT's on sand but thats just because they are a mud tyre.

Agreed. they may not look like they are going to eat you but they still are excellent in mud!

Had my 31 Couragias for quite some time,
first on my old Sierra and now on my Vitara.
All tyres are quiet to me, cos I'm quite deaf.
But I can tell they are fairly quiet,
as there is little or no vibration from them.
On and off road is brilliant, for a mudder.
Soft compound makes them great on light cars,
maybe wear a bit fast on heavier cars?
Mine have lasted well,
apart from obvious wear from my Sierras cig locker.
Wearing very well on my vit, it has auto lockers.
I'd buy them again

I'm stuck with 235/75/15's.
I've got a little trailer now, I need 'nother 3, the guts of $600.
Get 205/70/15, there common, and if ya bush, someone will have them .
Hey' .... I've got 9 here on genuine suzuki rims, ya can have them for $600
