I have a 2000mod 1.6 efi baleno mtr in my Suzy.
I want it legal for NSW.
Who knows what has to be done?
I have been told (by someone with a modplated 1.6 carb) all i have to do is see the rta for a blue plate, Although i have my doubts because of the power of the efi is alot more compared to the 1.3carb.
Can anyone give direct info?

Im in NSW. I went from 1L to 1.3 toyota 4K to 1.6L MPFI vit donk. each time the car has had to be engineered by a rta aproved engineer. Depending on which engineer you may have to upgrade your brakes, etc. Having said that, I brought a zook engineered and rta aproved with a 4AGE 1.6L corolla donk and it still had 1l diffs and brakes in it, without a brake booster even. Once you have an engineers certificate you then take it to the rta and they change the vehicle's details on there computer, no mod plate. engineering can cost you from $250 to $1000 depending on the engineer.
