tried calling suzistore, suzukishop and landsdale 4x4 wreckers? all of those would easily have one, price and condition would vary.

it will be exactly the same as a W/T transfer case apart from drive shaft flanges which you would be changing to jimny anyway. The 1L case would provide pretty decent gearing for 30" tyres.
I'm not sure about the exact process of fitting a leafy case to a jimny???

Me either, but you can get conversion kits from the uk, i won't start doing one until i see how zuknutter's turns out, but just want to have one ready once some on here has done the conversion.

yeah. I would check with some of the more experienced guys on here..but i'm pretty sure that the 1L transfer cases that have the 4wd switch are identicle to 1.3L W/T case.

If you're looking for a case to put 4.16 gears into, you are better off finding a NT or WT 1.3 case as a donor rather than a 1.0lt case, because you need one of the original 1.3 gears to complete the 4.16 gearset (same for 4.9 and 5.14 gears). The 4.16 gears will fit perfectly into a 1.0 w/switch case, but you will still need to find a 1.3 Low Output gear (plus you will be paying to buy 2 new gears that you already have in your T/C!).
If you'd like to try see if 4.16 gears are right for your tyre size on the road, then a 1.0 w/switch case will have the same high ratio as the 4.16.
I think either of the 1.0lt or 4.16 gears will be fine for your Jimny, because the stock Jimny ratios are Hi:1.320 and Low:2.145. Fitting a 1.0lt/4.16 case to a 1.3 Sierra gives 12% reduction, which is about right for 29s, but because the Jimny has a higher geared transfer than a WT, the reduction becomes 19.6%, perfect for 30s!

if your currently reading the info that zuke nutter has pieced together then you will know the the vvt jimny's are geared different to the other jimny's. both in the transfer and the diffs
4.16 will be uber low and will rev its arse out at 100kph.
the other thing is the gearbox/jackshaft is different. he is putting in an earlier non vvt case.
his set up will be (from my understanding) early M series gearbox and a 1.3 t'case.. which from my calculations put is bavk to near on standard gearing.
I am currently trying to piece together all the pieces for my conversion. have an idea of how I am going to the speed pick p and modified arms as well.
will do a write up once complete

mhhh... Thanks for the info guys.
I have found the vvt jimny ratios on suzuki website, is there a ratio calculator that can help me figur out what gearing i would need of i was to put a 1.3 w/t case in?
Not too worry about drive shafts, i'll just get some made to suit.
Thanks.
