Hey has anyone got a imobiliser fitted to their soft top? How is it fitted? I want some sought of security for my car got any suggestions?

i got an imobiliser but it only works when you try to hook up the battery

get something that uses a transponder on the remote so you dont have to worry about dunking remotes and getting stuck

on a WT there is an awsome spot to the right of the clock to hide the box and if you drop the column and remove the speedo you can get at all the wires you need to fit it, plus a thief will never find it and it will take em 30mins to get to it anyway

dunking remotes? but how do you wire it up just to the ignition?

yes dunking remotes, go 4wding, get out, take keys with you, fall in mud hole
what else are you going to wire it to?

I've got a little ball valve that I've thought about plumbing into the fuel line. Then run a cable, like a choke cable or something, into the cabin to open and close it.

Can anyone see anything wrong with this?

fulcrum point of the ball valve, youll pull it mostly closed but wont get it open

you could fit it so the handle pokes through the floor and remove the handle when you turn it off

i dont know royce just trying to get some info on it. I thought about wiring a swith into the ignition and hiding it under the dash but it could be easily traced

i heard of a guy putting a stop valve in the fuel line up inside one of the back guards

zook fan do you want an immobiliser or kill switch?

easy way is to pull the coil fuse out and take it with you

or wire up 2 switches side by side to look like spotlight switches, both need to be the right way to work

or you could just take your steering wheel when you leave your car anywhere like mr bean

my mate has an immobiliser. abouslute pain in the arse when it stalls when 4x4ing. gotta take the keys out of the ignition, jam the thingy in the hole for a second, then put the keys back into start. everytime

rotor button is easy to drag around.....

rotor button is what i do.

i went for a hike a few years back and when i got back to my car i found to young fellas trying to start it, had the bonnet up and everything! lucky my mates were there to stop me so the only got a little lession and i took the rotor button out of the car they were in so they had to walk home.

i just bought imobilizer/alarm from super cheap was about 200$ seems pretty easy to install....not puttin it on the zuk tho...

sweet i will look into that im gonna get a quote from a local auto sparkie to see if they can do it for an alright amount
