wtf is going on with my seats.

i washed my car and moved the seats so i could hose out around them.
when i finished the bastards wont stay upright the leaver just moves without locking the seat in the right spot.
whats going on and how do i fix it?

they stay like this. the leaver on the slide is locked properly but the seat back one doesn't.

try pushing the lever down while moving the back of the seat back and forth and spray all the joints with inox or something are they both doing it or just the one???

both doing it. tried forcing the leaver down while moving the seat but still wont work.

do you have the levers on teh back of the seat adjsuter that you push down to make the seat slide forward and tilt?

dont they have to slide back before they stay upright?

yeah, some do have that issue, they have to go back a certain distance before the backs will lock

I see by the hammer on the seat what the problem is..... They've been Shepped.

they are the seats out of my old wt hardtop. cant easily remove them as i welded them in :lol:

i ended up getting them to lock by flogging the leaver with a hammer. i think the gurni
blew a heap of crap into the mechanism.

and it isnt dodgy as i used a dead blow hammer

Just weld them in the upright position :helloo:

i nearly welded a piece of rhs across the car so the seats stopped at the right spot and then
put a heap of tec screws through the seat to stop it springing forward.

lucky that i tried the hammer again before getting the welder out.
