My master in my volvo shit its self alot of times, and did what you described.. that was mainly due to the heavy clutch and sleeved down slave killing it. The longer i drove the harder it was to smoothly release the pedal till the point it sometimes stuck.

Slave cylinders generally only leak. Masters cylinders can bypass (pedal sticking down), they can leak inside the car and they can get sticky. I'm frequently replacing them on the Hiaces at work.

Hummmmmmmm. Fluid changed and it was pressure changed and I thought it was good but it's still doing it.
Ok Looks like I should get another Master cyclinder then. knowing Holden it will cost shit loads and they will want a vin number.

Have you got someone to help you do a manual bleed? I find the vacuum bleeders (if that's what you used?) can sometimes introduce more air than they get out. If you like, I can drop in tomorrow?

I got it done by a guy I have been using for 20+ years as he was replacing the brakes and hand brake cable for me a while ago and he noticed that the fluid was dirty so he flushed it for me. Maybe there is still air in there. It was pressure changed?
There is no leak that I know of Scrawn.
If you want to have a look I can drive it to work tomorrow and you can have a look for me?

stick your head under teh dash first and look for leaks

the throwout could be sticking on teh snout, but that wouldnt be fixed by lifting the pedal up

When it did it (and only has done it once) was going from 1st to 2nd and it was like the clutch was in and not driving. So I then pulled the pedal out with toe and it was driving.

How heavy is the pedal with the heavy duty clutch? It may have bent the pedal pivot or pushrod. Are there plastic bushes in the pivot? It's always hard diagnosing over the net, it always ends up just being a whole lot of guesses

Yeah but its a Fake Holden so its ok

by pedal box I mean the pivot the pedal itself turns on, might have slightly worn bushes so after a bit it starts to get stuck

I'll have to have a look but I can't see why it starts to get hard after a bit. If it is pivot bush one would think it would be hard from the start. It's not like I am using the pedal up the freeway all the time. I get into 5th and might drive 1 hour up freeway then go to put into 4th and the pedal is harder to press in.

the heat might be making the pressure plate go stiff and then it jams up the pedal, the vit would do amazingly stupid stuff like that with that clutch in it

you are the one that added the lifted it with my toe bit, thats the part that makes it all not make sense cause the pedal cant pull anything back, the mastercyl pushrod isnt connected inside the mastercyl so its not sucking the slave cyl back (and they cant do that anyway)

Yep I'll try that first. Has to be WAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY cheaper that clutch master at this stage.

once you get the lower dash panel off it should be easy enough to get at

it might be worth going for a long drive and seeing it the pedal and master get hot at all
