Hi Guys,

I just thought I would let you all know about some software I have been using for donkeys.

Basically it's a project tool that lets you plan, record and compare budget actuals for your zooks (or boats or hover bikes). You can set budgets for different criteria (transmission, engine etc) and even includes maintenance.

Anyway, definetly worth having a look, it's good for that "reality check" that we could probably all find helpful (if not depressing)

Yeah maybe password protection is in order!

One good thing is that you can log all of the supplier / part information into the system so you can estimate what your total build will cost with a few different options.

Anyway, for the Project Management people out there.....

.....enjoy!

I gave up on counting my sierra when it hit 10 grand, and that was a long time ago.

my LJ50 was only about 5 grand all up.

I've got a mate who's spent $25k+ on his Sierra and $25k+ on his Mk1 GTI...

Surprisingly, he's divorced ;)

I have an excel spreadsheet for every cent I spend on my Zuk, down to fuel to pick parts up and trailer hire etc.
Ive spent 22k in 5years, but it has only cost 3k by the time ive sold of all the other 19k in bits I have parted over the time.

fark, your kidding eh? do you make allowances for a proportion of tyre wear going to pick up said parts, what about the power bills to run the computer to chase up deal on line? you could be doing yourself out of $0.002 cents profit

Me too. I've captured about 95% of the costs so far, and they are sizable! Still mounting too

My J20 conversion owes me -$1200.00

But my forecast sits around $25K spend. Haven't added up the refunds on parts sold etc yet. I reckon it would be close to $10K.

But my justification for spending so much on a vehile with a market value of 1/10th what I have spent, is that $25K is alot to spend on a sierra, but its not alot of money to spend on a vehicle with the featues mine has.

Each to their own. 8)
