hey guys i cant seem to get the vent to open for the Demister to work i slider the switch over and it does not open it feels like its stuck any ideas thanks :)

What type of car are we talking about? Maybe the cable has come off

So the knob moves but it doesn't do anything?

look down on the side of the heater box jsut above your left foot, the bottom control controls the demist part, youll see the bottom flap that can be closed or demist (tubes heading up under teh dash) or floor (flap drops all the way to open the lower vents)

wont be hard from there to move the control around and see what happens there, if the cable is connected but no moving heater end its popped off up the top, usually cause the linkages are stiff so give em a spray and free up before hooking it back up

when i move the knob it seems to do stuff but when i get near the demister selection it seems to jam

any joy with your car mate?

I have the same if not similar problem with mine
Trying to turn the demister/heater on this morning for the first time since I bought the car and nothing...hmm
the knob moves but it still blowing air to the front position....not to the feet or windscreen...

also might seem stupid but Ive read that the heater will only blow hot air when the knob is pointing to the feet or demister???

gona have a look at what Royce posted above when I get home tonight
