I have used alot of usefull info from here.
So thought id put some back.
Here is a cheap alternative to chromo rear axles for vitara's, for those breaking them on the tracks.
Here we go. The left is from a short wheel base, the right is for the long wheel base. The long wheel base is a heck of alot thicker, being stronger.

they run same bearings as the SWB with no modification to the housing. and cheap as chips compared to chromoly.

not sure mate, havent snapped my axles and had to put them in yet. But they are alot thicker.
As for how much they are worth? Up here, no one wants them, so next to nothing, i got mine for free.

This means I could carry a SWB axle as a SPARE for my LWB,
thanks I was wondering if they were different.
Would like a set from LOWRANGE, but at $400 a set,
won't happen unless I break lots, and w2in tatts.
Will get some spares, easy to change.

Chris there is a Vitara at Center Road Wreakers and I took the Center and housing out of it today and left the axels in the car.
They only charge $34 per axel if you need one for spare.

Very cool, thanks, good to know.
Will probably start collecting a few spares, once modding stage is over
